Re: Pat
Well Pat when I climb the stairs anywhere I always say 'The old war wound.' I know the feeling my ideal lady is one who makes cute remarks online and does not show me her stretch marks and can take a joke.

Re:
Well I would be no use you should see the small spade that I dig the garden with. To think I used to carry ten gallons of paraffin in each hand to save journeys. Also 2 plus cwt on my back to the corn store.

Re: overtherainbow
Jean the one thing I like about writing here is the comments. I think you should be cloned a few thousand times. For one of your actions which you attended once in one previous blog.

well this was a bumpy ride, first to have an ideal, then not to trust it, then to a misfit and wondering how you got there and what you may be missing. ideals arn't real, and trust me after the first few lines of crying in the night, the next should be tip toeing to the door. but i am not a romantic, heck at times i wonder if i am human.

just ditto to Pat today. She really has the art of putting together just what one would comment themselves if they were brighter.

Reading the poems, I can feel a contrast of emotions. I like how you set both of them up.

As I read your post about the ideal it struck me how that changes
in different phases. At 17 my ideal would have been a good dancer, with a great smile and good hair. At 37 he'd at least pretend to be interested in my conversation and be a good dad. These days, he'd be ambulatory, agreeable and have a story to share.
