I'm glad it did leave you with a feeling of peacefulness. I'm almost thinking that it is two poems, and perhaps I should lose the last stanza/paragraph.

I love this you said to CCT. not every nice or gentle person is a pushover weakling. That says everything but of course the poem is so well written it left me with a feeling of peace that someone knows. Thank you dear S. Sister.

Ah, yes! The meaning is, or should be, clear: not every nice or gentle person is a pushover weakling. But, oh, how true, deception can be the case, including self-deception. Very astute observation. I love it and quite agree!

Well the meaning is very clear.Although sometimes one may even deceive oneself.
The hand that rocks the cradle rules the world. I will not try and explain what you already know RP. I like the poem it is liberatory.
