sounds just like my 45 year old son that lives with me, but ribcage can do it, my son has to limit his smoking to outside, for health reasons, mine, he has to, and he does.

Ribcage could try one of the new alternatives to traditional cigarettes. Studies say they can lead back to the original.

I wonder if he would try those new cigarettes I expect one could have rum flavoured .The give off buckets of smoke so one would have to go outside. We all smoked in the past but it is damned expensive and health wise we all know the risks . It is sad really because he is a good guy I'm sure.

Re:
I'm so glad you quit when you did. You've had plenty of time to get healthy again.

Re: I wish him luck - have heard smokers say it's their "only" comfort
That's a really good idea. He loves Werther's Coffee candy and lemon drops.

I wish him luck - have heard smokers say it's their "only" comfort
and they just can't give it up. Maybe time to keep some hard candies on hand.

I see them here -35 or -45 and there they are rugged up outside and smoking. I smoked for 20 years and one day walking upstairs after a cigarette I couldn't breath and decided i could be healthy or try to live with emphysema. I tore up the packet including its contents and never had another ciggy. praying that dear Ribcage can manage. When you are hooked, it is like alcohol, only yourself can make the change.

I wish him well in abiding by the rules. Hopefully, he can stop smoking. That would be great for his health.
