TAPS

This is such a beautiful poem. I love the allegory of a mountain to life that I found for my own life young and older love.

Re: CCT

The poem is for my whole family.  We have been plagued with marital problems that ended in divorce--not only myself and my husband, but three of my four sons, four of my five sisters, many of my nieces and nephews.  I guess we are not the only ones, but it is sad.  I expected so much more from us.

Well if you want a reason for your bitter sweet poem Taps. It is simply that you are

a different person than you were then. Rarely have folk lived together harmoniously,

once one had to shut up and put up. There is one way to live in love forever it just demands that one of the lovers involved is prepared to agree with everything the other

suggests. I have seen this work.

This is beautifully done, Taps. The contrast is so keenly honed...

And who hasn't, when all's said and done, asked themselves "why didn't we hang on?" - Wow!
