first time was very big. I was on my own the husband of the time was blessedly awat for a few weeks.
he always wore french cologne but on this day I could smell "Old Spice." I was in the bedroom i growled to myself down to the bathroom thinking the cat must have broken a bottle of old spice but no. There wasn't even a bottle there.
I went back to the bedroom and the odor followed me. Old spice who wore the stuff.
Dad of course it was dad. Mother always gave him Old spice for Christmas.
he had been dead probably 2-3 years by this.
I said "hello are you worried about me?" the odor lingered. "i am really fine dad. I am much better with him away, and i am not frightened at all to be in Sydney on my own." and the Old spice left and has never returned.

Since, my dear Pres sis, you have started the poem with an 'if', my answer is a positive yes. Yes, you can feel the energy of the soul who has passed away with an equal intensity as if he or she were to be alive. That is because, our aliveness is due to the presence of the soul within, and likewise we too, exist in the soul. It engulfs us from all sides, within and without. Your poem is simply fantastic as it addresses a fave topic of mine. Moreover the poem's word felicity touches my heart

I know what you're saying, Kabu dear. I believe you. Any special occasion when he visited. Here's one for ya, my brother and I both had the same complex dream about my dad within a week after he passed!

I do like the if poem. Now it is My Dad I think of. There have been at least twice that he has visited me from the other side.
