I'd like to read what he writes after he writes it. It is downright cold here and the furnace cutting in every five minutes. But they are saying it's going to get a whole lot colder. I'm still digging out sweaters and warm things one at a time.

I'm sorry you had such a cold night, and glad that son(s) fixed it. How nice you got to enjoy breakfast with them also. It's windy and smoky here.

they tell us we are to be hit by terrible weather but it seems to be bypassing our valley so although it is cold outside we remain without snow around.

Yesterday we just managed to get a thirty foot tunnel sheeted over with polythene. Gale winds are forcast today hopefully we shall miss them It will be a good test if we do not.We have had to start paying for the removal of garden waste, but it saves a lot of worry getting rid of tree prunings and old tomatoe stems etc. It is supposed to be turned into compost and given back freely, but I would not want to put some of the stuff on the garden. Keep warm it is said that some folk do not feel when they are cold.
