I have had painful injuries that lasted for months, and i know that it gave me quite a few new wrinkles. I became short tempered, withdrawn and cried at the drop of a hat. But i knew that in time i would heal. I cannot imagine what i would have done if there was no hope of the pain going away. I do believe to have compassion for a person in pain , you have to have had some pain in your own life.

Only those with pain responded
I am sure those without pain cannot fathom the pain fekt by those with chronic pain and don't want too

as an RN even retired i cannot find any complaint against your post love. Just feelings of sadness. The little finger one got to me for my left little finger the least used on my two hands has been deteriorating for about 6 years now. it hurts all the time from a 5 to about an 8. I just have to live with it and my way is to sit and think of all the people worse off than I am.
Oh this isn't the only pain, I could go on, but this little finger, no matter what I do it will just get worse.
