That's even worse. Once a box of old mail gets to his room, it never get's out again. It's easier to get rid of a few at a time off of the table when he is gone somewhere.

You are absolutely right and I keep control on everything by not harping away at him. The mail is easy to deal with and easy to get rid of when I need it gone.

A box
There is nothing handier than a box to confine the spreading stack of old mail, the stuff waiting for discarding or filing... I know, I have several boxes like that in my room, even now.

It's not the mail itself that blocks RC from discarding it. There's a
mental block, a need to keep things rather than discard them. You're a good mom.

wow you have way more patience than i could have but you also remind me that our tiny table is hardly visible on top for 'stuff'. i will do something christmassy for us soon.
