Re: C_C_T

I had an English lady graduate of Oxford as an English/writing teacher in high school and she translated the coded nursery rhymes for us. We Mossyrock High kids were amazed and in awe about the violence and despair disguised in those happy little verses.

Of course Nursery Rhymes were really about current happenings as you know.

Probably envisaged by inebriated students. Maybe at the time a snub to authorities an sometimes religious orders. Caught an old man who would not say his prayers.

Ring a ring of roses . The plague of London etc . I know you know this it is all on the net.

Reading this reminds me of how much the times have changed.

Those nurery rhymes take us back to simpler times.  I'm sure the authors who penned those rhymes are rolling in their graves now.  lol

How true, how true.
"Old King Cole was a merry old soul and a merry old soul was he..."
today:
Old Donald Trump was a nasty old soul, especially when he didn't like something that was said.
He always answered with a twitter, and often a firing.
