Times were simpler then I remember an American service man sitting out side an old fashioned pub he was probably feeling good a plane went over and he said to me 'This modern times. Not the bucket toilet, I thought .

Well I haven't seen much since you were a girl. Although once when we had a very deep snow some Americans were playing in it as they had never seen it before.

Well adnohr one gets to know ones silly fears as one grows older. Poetry helps beleive it or not. flowers are blooming like billy-o as we have had rain. You snows we don't like your favourite.

i suppose it was snowing outside. I was in a little country pub in Yorshire one night with some friends and it started to snow. I ran outside and enjoyed myself until my feer frfoze and ran back into the pub shaking snow out of my hair.
"It's snowing," I laughed.
Male voice by the fire...."Bloody mad Australian. "

Somehow the notion of a village pub and a fire in the pot-bellied
stove, someone plunking on a banjo to the old time songs, maybe quoting some good Irish poet - it sounds like just the ticket to a happy time.
