A miracle realized is the greatest feeling in the world. There is nothing that comes close to it.

Nice it captures a idyllic view of a world which I hope still exists,  written with nostalgic longing.

I'll need to read it again. I was in the middle of a university job when I was reading your poems

Re: Dear Aba Bro

This is an interesting take on it. I had a different meaning in mind but that's the beauty of poetry, if this be that.

In my version, the speaker is giving away dreams, as they exist for the taking, and offering to lend a miracle, as they exist for those who have been Taken; not taken away, but 'taken' - an expression as in taken, swindled, hurt, victimized. The speaker is saying, "You may not have any miracles, but we from the Toe of the Boot (southern Italy), the speaker, will lend you a miracle from there to use. That is my poem.

Dear Presta sis

You're right. When one gets old and jaded, some of the intense past too, become jaded in memory making one feel after all, where's it lost? So you provide the best solution that they be best passed on to the younger generation. Good

Re: Kabu

I have a relative who just returned from there. It is so - beyond words. I can't imagine having to emigrate from there, the horror it must have been. Thank you, S. Sister.

No matter what may come for me italy will always be fabulous history art beyond difining. It will always be, food and wine, laughter, fruit, getting my bottom pinched in the cities, shopping beyond fabulous, scenery beyond imagination. Children being indulged and adored by Nona and then there is naple and Rome and venice and Florence and Milan and Piza and   and fishemen mending their nets by the sea,   small villages myths and mysteries and always and forever the galleries filled with art. Oh never mind the music the opera the dancing. no never mind anything. Just take me there before someone ruins it all.

Re:Naut

I'm glad you like it, Naut. Yes, I've started paying more attention to Italy also, and very closely. Thank you.

RP

I really like this, especially since I've been paying attention to Italy and its increasing convulsions...
