One of my favorite plot lines--I forget which show--was when the lying, not-really-pregnant wife sent her husband out for take-out so she could get on the phone and order a newborn baby for around her due date.

In pre-historic days I used to watch Coronation Street occasionally, a Brit-soap that was kinda popular here, being a member of the Commonwealth and all. Actually, it may still be popular - I checked and found it's still being shown on CBC. The current episode is # 9217...Anway, beyond that one, the soaps are terra incognita to me...
