I personally found Hef distasteful, but would have probably done so regardless of what business in which he worked. Having said that, those women who worked with him, or for him, did so willingly, to my knowledge, and seemed happy and well-compensated. Perhaps that entire concept is part of the where, when, how and why our thinking started to change and evolve regarding the roles of women in today's culture. And then, there was the journalism...

Back when I had my share of Playboy mags - who didn't? But I missed good ol' Marilyn. Oh well...Of course I just bought it for its excellent writing anyway, LOL...

s'pose I never had much time for Hef. It seemed to me exploitation for money of the female body, and the girls were lured for fame and fortune. but then I always seemed out of step with others about Play boy. Even dear Wiley disagreed with my concepts....dear love, he's all male when the chips are down..... thank goodness

Yes well, it did not do the poor girl any favours. I suppose if a chicken was posed nude someone would complain.
