Time to put on your big girl pants and if R cannot get the act together then you are enabling him by letting him get away with drifting through life.
Mostly life is tough for all of us ordinary people, and we do what we can to help each other. but none of us are an Island and you cannot do 24/7 or you will be ill and then everyone will be worse off.
