I also named one daughter a name I thought was unusual. Turned out, that wasn't the case. And I read Little Women at 9 also. Moving is difficult for a child, especially in Middle School and High School years, even in the best of circumstances. It must have been painful at times for you, but you overcame it all.

There were 403 in my graduating class at Central Highschool, Kansas City, in 1955. I had friends but there were many there I didn't even know by sight, let alone be friends with. There were some that ignored me because I didn't have a lot of nice clothes and the ones I had were homemade.
