I usually wait and take the bulbs to replant in the spring. I have some lilies in tubs but I shall let them chance it ,we do not appear to be having extreme winters like we used to. Of course being surrounded by houses raises the temperature. I expect your conditions will be harsher.

I would go with Pats suggestion love. I am still trying to figure out what to save and what to leave. I don't have many sunny spots.

I had a clematis - it loses leaves in fall and comes back stronger
the next spring. I don't believe they need to winter indoors.
