Re: Re: adnohr
Relationships are hard work. So many of them don't work out, but we try to take the best out of them, even when it's over. I figured he had redeeming qualities; otherwise I doubt you would have ever been with him.

Re: adnohr
Actually, he had a lot of redeeming qualities. I think I just laughed once too often at the wrong time. He and I were so different from each other.

Poor hubbie. What creative angle redeemed his personality? Everyone has something - I'm curious as to what his was? His ability to eat more than one turkey leg aside.

I love the Highland Games! So fun to watch... Went to the Renaissance Festival once or twice, and it was fun but not as much as the other to me. Yes, those turkey legs are a bit hit with the guys, mostly.

Looks like fun. There's a historic Ft. de Chartres in southern IL
whee they hold an old fashioned rendezvous the first weekend in June and Nov., complete with bagpipers, people in 18th Century French uniforms (this area was part of the Louisiana Purchase and was originally settled by the French). Food cooked in big stew pots over open fires & old tyme bread baked in outdoor ovens, very interesting.
