Ciel
I'm sure happy Kabu isn't leaving this house and me without her. I love her.

oh groan I hate moving and have decided I will not move from our home here. No not ever.
So I suggest thinking where you really truly want to live and buy a place that is just right for you.

So many things to consider. It will take a while to sort out all of them to decide what's right for you. I wish you luck. Sometimes these events, like the rent being raised, act as catalysts for us to make changes.

Probably be wise to buy Ciel if you can find a suitable place. Preferably something that might be developed in one's lifetime. You can see the trend for rented places rising.
Of course land is not at a premium as it is here, but even I could have bought at £25 an acre once. Now a building plot probably about £200K. Well I have just seen a country bungalow sold for over 300K to be knocked down and a house built on the site.

Seems like an unpleasant choice all 'round.
Are there other locations with vibrant art communities, theatre groups, etc., that could offer the "life's blood" as well as a roof over your head? I realize food & shelter are a human's primary survival requirements, but there's more to your life than mere survival. Crossing my fingers you find just the niche you need.
