Re: Aba Brother

I have become so fascinated with what I discuss here, that I promised myself to take a plunge into the ocean of yoga and see if I could discover something substantial. Once I practised it for 10 years then left it. About six months back I again started it as there were some painful areas that started playing up. They are now all gone. That's where I found the motivation. Now it is a daily routine, and I've benefitted a lot. As I was saying, if I can, anybody can. It does sound pretty intimidating but is not, after all, so intimidating. Thanks my big sis.

Re: Kabu

You, Kabu, as such, are an evolved person with a very fine, compassionate heart. Doesn't matter, any yoga. To be with Nature is to be with God's creation, god's spirit. That too, takes one further. As I said the other day to you that you have such fine surroundings of Nature by your home.

Re: C C T

The acceptance of the mind to all these so-called difficult practices start only when one begins with faith, that is the toughest part. Then once the effects start to show after a little effort stretched over for a while, then the encouragement comes from within and not without. I have myself done it with some success, and I also know that I will progress. If I can as a normal person do it, then anupyone can.

Re: FSI

The only thing, how to make it rain in our daily little practice.

Aba Brother

I think many religions and philosophies embrace meditation, and yoga is certainly an effective way to meditate. You have described so well what it entails, though for me personally, I am not quite so formal or adept. Quiet time is necessary to think, to allow thoughts to enter, to reflect. Sages forever have mastered this ability you have told to us, as generously you teach us. And we thank you, though not all can attain the end results. Quite good to know, Aba, and an enjoyable post, as always.

I am not much good at Yoga....I have tried.

BTW I do not believe that we empty the mind and let the Devil in. That is baloney for me and I am a Christian.

Having said these things If I am with nature and nature with me It is a renewal of my spirit. Gardening watching nature, living amongst nature, being part of a whole system, there I find my God, there I can hear My god speak within my quiet breast.

Do I get the feeling that one needs to feel rather special and have a deep understanding of ways that very hard to achieve by the normal person. It does seem that most minds are increasingly attuned to stimulation by entertainment. No doubt the awareness is there it is not easy now for most to accept it.
