When we spotted those crescent-shaped shadows, it was as exciting as the rest of the eclipse, we took photos, and figured no one else would have noticed... But then photos galore on Facebook! When I process mine onto Flickr, if you missed them, you can see what all the fuss is about.

Very interesting! In these parts it just never got dark enough to have any noticeable effect on wildlife, and when walking I never noticed any 'shadow bands' either...

Wow! I never thought to look at the sidewalk to see it. It got pretty dark here for a bit.
