Beautiful flowers, and here too we enjoy the cicadas. Well, most of us - strange as it may sound (yeah, yeah, LOL), some people don't like them...And about Mr. Trinkle - nil nisi bonum...

Very true, very long ago. His younger brother was my boyfriend when I was young.

Re: CCT
P.D. has lots of the edible kind along his stream but neither he nor Phil will try eating them. I told him to throw a few petals in their salads, but he won't.

LOL is that a true story? Perhaps he was a bug in a prior life... or a snake, shedding many skins, is likely a better fit!

Shame about the short life of the lilies . I have several species I pulled some up after flowering and then thought better of it and replanted them. There are edible species but I would not fancy trying them.

Re: BC-A
Lycoris squamigera, surprise lilies, naked ladies. They bloom here first week of every August.

Lycorsis? I found from a specialty lilies that bloomed into November. At night at work, I hear a sound of maybe cicadad or nuthatches. I did have the birds nearby when I lived in the green belt of the golf course. They might be in a park on the other side of the parkway love. Free Scrollin' Bill

Those photos remind me of spring.
I would have loved to have been the divorce attorneys for that couple.

Love the flowers, my surprise lillies are also on the downhill slide, but
they are amazing. I'd never seen one until I lived in this house. Someone told me the name of that flower was Naked Lady, because the leaves die down and then the flowers stand alone. I think your August Trinkle has a cousin or two living in this part of the country.

Wow! Talk about a skirt-chaser - he was certainly one of those! I do love the way you told the story, connecting the story in the post to him. Kudos.
