Re: Re: Nautikos
Well, Naut, it's a case of possibly being misinformed. At the beginning of television news coverage, the very beginning, of that organization, it was explained (perhaps incorrectly) by someone, that ISIL encompassed everywhere (for some reason that has escaped me), whereas ISIS was confined to the countries you pointed out. Technically, one could say 'IS' and be correct. Oh, I just saw you have already written that... :) So all this time, I preferred what I thought was the more correct term. Excuse my mistake.
And now look what this has done to the deity of that same name!

Re: Nautikos
RP: As a matter of interest, why do you prefer ISIL (Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant) to ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria), the latter being a slightly more accurate name?
Of course they call their outfit simply the Islamic State, because they're convinced theirs is the purest form of Islam, undiluted by all kinds of nasty Western influences...

Nautikos
I like it when the term 'ISIL' is used, rather than 'ISIS.' I am glad for our judicial system's decision in this case. The rest is pretty evident. Thank you, Naut.
