About handwriting, ever see an MD with good handwriting? I don't think that's what makes or breaks an educator... And it's nice that some people, even the most intelligent, can recognize their own faults. I like how you mentioned 'book smart.' There's a huge distinction between that and common sense, not to mention street smarts...
