I've NEVER heard of potato wine - sounds ghastly! I've heard of potato vodka, although I've never (to my knowledge) had any of that either. But I've had some fabulous California wine, although these days I'm mostly drinking some of our own Ontario wines...

Re: adnohr

I suppose you would not look too dusty crunching a stick of rhubarb. With a bit of salt.

AUssie wines are high on my favorite's list! This poem brought on the giggles again.

If you drink it enough, it won't matter the origin sir. LOL.

Re: C_C_T

I don't really take notice of just one persons suggestion  RP. Anyway when my neighbor visited a vineyard in USA he noticed the wine was marked at double the price that he paid in the UK supermarket . He had to show a photo to convince the seller.

Re:

Well I always thought it tasted better when the workers jumped into the tub and a squashed the grapes hopefully after washing the feet.

Re: Pat

Do not be so modest Pat, you know you knocked them over not so long ago.  One does not see many comedians on tele, once they were my fave.

I do feel I look better in soft light

such as the moon's glow when it floats just above the horizon and casts of buttery light. Your poem on dating and dining is very interesting. It seems it could be adapted as a film, perhaps a comedy of errors where one tries to fork a pork chop and gets his dinner partner's hand...

Sorry about your wine. Perhaps French, German, or Aussie wine would be better. Everyone looks better by candlelight, it seems. And it is beter I think to get to know someone a little before one commits to a full-on dinner with them.
