Re: Kabu,
It is hard to pin down what 'love' is for a cat, but I think you have it there!

Re: Pat,
this one was more interesting because it wasn't about some anonymous source making a single statement. This one shows a lot about what some people you know, or thought you knew, think about some random things. About those other kinds of surveys--Agreed!

Re: CCT, dba Uncle Albert
It all comes down to how one defines 'love' I suppose. I think it has something to do behaving differently when someone goes away. Maybe they are just mad at the upsetting of the proper order of things. Honestly, I have known cats that I'd consider loving and some who were indifferent or even hostile. I get hostile when Embers tries to lick my face, especially when I am trying to sleep.

Re: FormerStudentIntern.
The list has grown to a lot more unpopular opinions and agrees or disagrees!
In case you don't know, since Harry Potter doesn't appeal to everyone, to read the whole thing, Dobby the House-elf is essentially a slave who is not 'worthy' of clothing, but if his master gives him a piece of clothing, he is no longer a slave and can leave whenever he likes. In the story, the good guys plant one of his master's socks where he will find it like a gift, and so free him.
I mention this because the meme gets around: Lately, the image of Spicer holding a sock and so being freed of Trump.

i saw something about cats loving humans but that was all I saw on FB...i thought it a bit silly because it depends on many different factors. I do know that mr Graysome adoew our Wiley and sees me as the one who will spoil him and give him anything he want but if I use the cross tone he will obey immediately. he doesn't like to disappoint or to be out of sorts.

My problem with those "agree or disagree" surveys, is that I often
choose agree, but... or disagree, except. Wishy-washy? Indecisive? Maybe. But there's so much more to the question than the simplistic survey would seem to ask.

I don't honestly think cats love humans, they are loving and want to be loved, but I have this feeling that they decide the terms, more like a bossy woman in a marriage. If one is a loving person a cat will love you probably more so than a bossy woman. I know there are no bossy women on here so I can speak with candour. Uncle Albert.
