How horrible for you,  that the medical "cure" was worse than the actual disease.  I don't think the shingles caused all those memory and attention problems.  The Lyrica caused them.  The doctors who prescribe such big-pharma drugs are fools, and corrupt as well, paid off by the big money of big pharma.  My father died in 2013, mostly because of these poisonous drugs such as Lyrica.

On the other hand,  we must take advantage of the real benefits of modern medicine, such as the shingles vaccine.  It is hard to tell the blessings from the curses of modern medicine.

But aside from that,  welcome back!!  Cheers

Horrible.  Horrible.  Everyone who I know who has had it has the same story and opinion as you do.  Sorry you had to go through that.

Welcome back, Corbin!! What an ordeal that was, and you have frightened me enough that I will check out getting the vaccine. As for the Lyrica, they gave that to Bird when he was sick and after a week he threw it away...then suffered. It's a terrible drug! I'm happy to hear that you're getting back to yourself, and even more that we'll be able to read you too!

Hi, there! Sorry to hear about such a horrid 'event.' What a nightmare! My friend had problems with Lyrica also. My dad said he never had chickenpox as a boy, yet did get shingles as a very, very Senior soul. I did not get chickenpox as a child, though my sis and brother did, so being vaccinated is a difficult issue for me.

Yea, what a happy day.

Welcome back with lots of hugs ....then lots more hugs for having to endure the shingles and then even more hugs for what that drug did to you.

I must have had a light shining over my head last year for people in my age group here in Ontario were given the opportunity to have the shingles vacination for free for a six month time line. My Drs. office rang me and I dashed in and got 'er done.

It is great to see you back. I remember a friend of mine who came down with shingles. He was in so much pain, especially inside his mouth, where they developed.

A HUGE WELCOME BACK! I have really missed you! And of course I am terribly sorry to hear of your shingles attack, and really hope the proper medication will deal with it. I discussed the whole issue years ago with my doc, who virtually forced me to get a shot (I forget the name) after I told him I had chicken pox as a child. And I urge anyone who reads this: If you ever had chicken pox, talk to your doc right away...
