Yes - they say we tend to fall in love with our words, so if you penciled out his emotional bursts he probably will be a bit offended. However, if he reads it over a couple of times with an open mind he will no doubt see how you've improved his piece.

I'm certain I need an editor everytime I write anything at all. No matter how many times I read it, I change something every single time.

Yes well some like history it depends which side one was on. They won't let you go easily,
