nasty thing, I have grown a few weeds in my garden if not removed would have taken over completely, well wild strawberries have in a way.

Some plants have a certain spikey beauty to them, to be admired at
a distance - like you, I'd have watched the little volunteer for awhile. Which is why weeds in my back yard seem to thrive despite long periods without rain.

It is strange how bizarre little plants spring into being perhaps seeds passed through birds or wind carried. Good work on that little blighter.
