Re: TAPS
That's a beautiful way of saying, 'it makes me feel alive. It males me want to sing'.

I had to come back and read this again. It makes me feel alive, and makes me want to sing.

Yes, Hopkins makes us notice things that would go unnoticed. The uncervalued thing in Nature. Thanks Sir

A time of the great believers , and so delicately formed out of mere transient forms that pass most unoticed. You do have an eye for detail, sadly missing today.

Aba Brother
Oh, the beauty of the way you have expressed your analysis of GMH, and this poem in particular! I quite agree and do enjoy Hopkins. There is a beauty in seeminly disparate things of nature which creates a harmony if one can only see it. Below is what here is called a Piebald German Shepherd. Some almost look like cows in coloring.

Re: Kabu
Well said. Hopkins's poems are best read aloud. He was very unconventional and much ahead of contemporary poets of his Victorian times.

What a beautiful writing....worth of praise itself.
Every day I find something new and different that brings praise of God to my heart and to my lips. Truely, "Variety is the spice of life."
