Poverty destroys character more than it strengthens it, though maybe it does make some people stronger, more determined.
Rich destroys character just as much, though, among those who are weak characters to begin with.
I saw something the other day: This country is not divided into Democrat and Republican, it is divided into people who care, and people who don't care. Likewise, it isn't divided between rich or poor... but those who look up, and those who look down.

I know more happy poorer people than I do rich ones. They always seem to have so many problems...of course I know more poorer people might account for some of that. love you and love this delightful post.

In my experience many rich folk are pretty tight with their ha'pence. I suppose it is security.

I do believe that the poor folks with the poor ways are just as happy and fulfilled as the rich people who have mean ways.
