Oh, Naut! Not that kind of progressive; the progressive of the '50s and '60s. Veering too far into that kind of progressive may take one in a circle, and one may end up going backwards...

I had always thought of Sweden as a forward-thinking, progressive country filled with beautiful, intelligent people who enjoyed idyllic, peaceful lives. Now to read this leaves me beyond the term 'culture shock.' It's not a pretty picture. It's sad.
