Re: Anib

Actually, I have never been to a Buddha temple, except seeing them in photos. But I have heard that Buddha temples have an energy field around them and you will be surprised to know that in their monastery in the Himalayan mountains (in Tibet or somewhere) there are tigers, a number of them, that have turned vegetarians, and take bath in the mountainous rivers or streams along with the monks. It must be some mysterious power. i was shocked with amazement when I first saw it in the Discovery Channel or maybe the Animal Planet.  It has to do with the shrines or Indian-style temple design, I really don't know. Why would a rich American dole out 2 million dollars for a Buddha temple, I find surprising unless it has something to deeply influence the doner of that kind of money. The future of the World Religion will be Buddhism, which I find supreme among all. Buddhism originated in India, then taken to China and lastly to Japan where it blossomed (the Zen). I am also trying to find an answer to the Q you have raised. Cheers

Anib

Thanks for your great and appreciative comment,  but I was wondering,  what did you think of this new temple built in so-called  "India style" ?  It is definitely unlike anything I have seen in Thailand,  and it was actually a great surprise to me,  that these people would spend 2 million dollars to build such a thing,  when they already had a beautiful Thai-style temple.  So is this new  "India style"  temple like anything you have actually seen,  in India?

Inquiring minds want to know,  LOL   Cheers

Welcome back, GM

So very incredibly beautiful, what architecture, what details temples studded with angels! Boy, what a heavenly trip you had. Wish I were there sometime in life . You have captured the essence very artistically. I'm not so good a photographer.
