I think one has to be born on the saddle to want to tackle wild horses. I like this vivid description, and glad that you set Santa free.

I lost track of Bennie A. after he married because I didn't go to rodeos. He grew up in my neighborhood and went to my school. I'll just bet he didn't live long as he got thrown so many times. He was my age but I would be terribly surprised if he were still living. I like this post of yours.
