As I read your post and came to the sentence that declares
a woman is half a man, I couldn't help remembering that in the USA, 50 years ago or so, a female was considered 2/3 of a full fledged male citizen, could not get credit in her own name, etc., etc. Crimes against women - as in the British court system - were/are prosecuted as crimes against property (women were chattel). So I agree with you that the Islamic way of looking at the relative value of individuals is seriously outdated. Crossing my fingers for enlightenment.

Well I hope you can eat bacon Naut. Sadly pigs are such friendly little critters, they look up at one expecting a nice apple, and I love to hear them crunch and enjoy the juices.
