I wish you had told me to be careful sooner. Anyway, the damage isn't too bad today and even the bruising is less than I expected, so I can still go out in public without drawing stares.

Oh my! She hit herself in the head with a hammer!
At least when I fell last it was with a full glass of ice water that went all over me.

I never know for sure which is worse when I fall - the pain itself or
the embarassment.

Well folk do fall over occasionally, I do it regularly , but not onto hard objects. You really must practice on softer furniture for a start. I think maybe it will look worse than it is tomorrow. Do be careful.
