Excellently and eloquently told, and so is the anecdote an good exemplary lesson. I am happy that we are, though in different ways, on the same page. That should be the spirit, the goal is one, the paths may be many. BTW, I have replied to your queries as I felt should be in order. Cheers

To All

Just imagine,  if you will,  a group of deer grazing and foraging in the woods.  While munching upon grass and leaves,  they have been talking among themselves about predators.  Other deer have told them about predators,  but none of this group has ever been attacked by predators,  nor even seen a predator,  so they convince themselves that predators do not exist,  are a silly idea and a myth.

At this very moment,  a pack of hungry wolves is observing the deer from the bushes,  so close they can hear the deer munching and talking.  The wolves can barely restrain themselves from laughing out loud,  at what the stupid deer are saying.  It is very amusing,  and the wolves are enjoying the entertainment,  but their hunger grows and gnaws at them,  so they all hunker down,  ready to spring out of the bushes,  and they launch their attack......

You can imagine for yourself what happens next......  the deer become educated about predators,  but sadly,  they do not survive their lesson.......  Cheers

Thanks for your deeply considered comment of great substance.  However,  you refer to evil predators as  "mad" (crazy),  and one of my main points was that they are not  "mad",  but very smart,  disciplined,  and following their immoral values better than most good people follow their moral values.  The fact that you could read my post,  and then still use that adjective,  only goes to show how deeply this misconception is engrained into our culture,  how successful the evil ones have been in putting it there.

But now to your question of opportunism.......

By their nature,  animal predators are better opportunists than their animal prey.....  otherwise the predators would starve to death!

By their immoral values,  human predators are also better opportunists than their human prey.  But they do not have the excuse of having to do so,  in order to survive.  Thank you for helping me make my point about that.  This is true,  even without consideration of the spiritual entities around us,  who also have their choices to make,  about whether to be good or evil,  service-to-other or service-to-self.

So you rightly mention Satan,  who was the first spiritual being to make the choice for evil,  or service-to-self.  He took one-third of the angels of Heaven with him,  to establish his own empire of predation,  of service-to-self,  of abusing others,  and I am sure that they preyed upon each other,  until humanity came along.

So now,  with billions of people on this planet to prey upon,  I am very sure that as you say,  "The Devil  [or his lackeys] is there always in readiness to pounce on the minds of evil-doers.  He provides them strength,  and is a better opportunist than what we call do-gooders."

I agree with you completely.  And those people who do not believe in Satan,  Lucifer,  the Devil.......  their dis-belief only makes it easier for him to deceive them and entice them.

Predators are smart,  strong,  and devious,  whether they are human or spirit.  They try to convince us that they are helping us,  while they are setting us up for domination,  abuse,  or destruction.   So.....  do-gooders beware!!  and BE AWARE.......

Thought-provoking and alarming, and you raise a good point that in the proposition of evil, the act may be inspiring for any other mad man to do something similar. I believe that the Devil is there always in readiness to pounce on the minds of evil-doers. He provudes them strength, and is a better opportunist than what we call do-gooders. What do you think?

The subject is grossly interesting and alarming, but I am glad you found my post about it to be interesting. Yes, let us hope and pray there are no more shootings like this.

Yes, what the extreme Left is doing is fascism,  intolerance,  tyranny.  They no longer believe in freedom of speech for their opponents.  They are not allowing conservative speakers on college campuses.  Conservative students at those colleges feel like they are under attack at all times.  If they express their views in classwork,  the professors single them out for attack and give them bad grades.  They attack Trump every day,  with fake news stories if there is no real way to attack him.  This Russian collusion business is mostly fake.  It is political war on the part of the Left,  and now it is breaking out into military-style assault with guns,  to assassinate Republicans.

Good point! As a general observation on the political developments in the States - it is my impression the Left makes increasingly use of intimidation and violence to prevent debate. That whole 'Resistance' thing is straight Fascism, and includes a big dose of anti-Semitism...

Kabu

Thanks for reading!  Let me take a  'stab'  at your possible comment,  as the actors took their  'stabs'  at Trump in the bloody Shakespeare play......  Trump is also an evil predator,  using the great advantages of evil  (lying,  deception,  etc.)  to advance himself and his pseudo-conservative agenda.  If that is your position,  you may be right!  Time will reveal more.  But let us agree that this shooter of Republicans was of the most vile and despicable and irredeemable evil,  no matter how disciplined and brave he was for his cause.  Cheers
