it would be good to down size where you are. Somehow friends and familiarity is pretty important as we get older. This is my home and I cannot imagine after a life of packing up and moving on that I could leave my home again.

It is so sad Pat, really you should go now while you are reasonably capable.

It will be difficult of course, but if you leave it until you have to ,it will be pretty miserable. You have been talking about this for some time on and off and I understand how painful it would be.  I have half an acre of land cultivating with help, but what would I do stuck in a new luxury house. I get bored when it rains. If we knew how long we tiggle along it would be fine. It is a bloody problem.

Pat

We've discarded the Cartesian mind-body split a long time ago; and even if we can't fully explain the intimate relationships that make up the mind-body totality, the evidence that it is real is overwhelming. That hence 'feeling better' has a positive effect on the immune system doesn't surprise me at all!

And about that business of moving: As adnohr rightly observes, it makes a lot of sense for all kinds of practical reasons, but one has to be 'ready' - which is a matter of feelings once again...

I hear you, Pat-B. My kids have been after me for ages to move out of this huge place, with alls its stairs and upkeep, stuck out in the middle of the bush, and at my age not going to get easier...they have so many points that make sense, except for the most important one. I'm not ready yet!!! Follow your heart.
