Yes, the rumor that he carries a loaded gun when he walks his dogs arouses an answering fear to his fear, and if true, could be disastrous. I feel much better that this has been mended.

Since posting this, I read the article I just posted about in my Loosely Speaking blog, and it adds some understanding to how to connect with Dave. The article suggests that change can only be achieved with a closed mind through a personal experience, and dogs are a very personal thing to our Dave.
