when times are tough and you are on your own with the kids, I know just how much you have to put your head down and work hard. When I started nursing I didn't know enough about anything and although I had a supervisor to call on she spent most of her time with the younger new RN's I wanted to really get this nursing right, after all I was dealing with people's lives and the ward was a high dependancy cancer surgical ward. I got the name for being alloof and not unfriendly, but too up myself to approach. I wasn't I just had so much to learn and to me what was important was my people that I was there to nurse. making friends came way down the list.

Well I should imagine it was tough Pat. You needed that shield, you have probably forgotten the hurt. I suppose you do have the flair for forgiveness, but one had to be hard at times. Sadly some stay like it forever.
