It sounds like you live in a very wonderful place. A very nice poem to go with your entry as well.

Re: Nautikos

He liked it that you want him to do more.  Maybe he will and maybe he won't.  You never know about him.  But, he did write one just for you:

I looked to the right
and glanced over left,
the multitude mostly departing.
With all of my might
I gave it a heft,
oh what a glorious farting!

The frogs in my backyard pond have been singing at the tops of their

voices for weeks now, silent only during the rainstorms. There are nickel-sized tadpoles occupying the pond, plenty of frog spit. Couple nights ago I got up for a drink of water and spied a frog about the size of a walnut, hanging onto the window screen above the kitchen sink. He was as surprised to see me as I was to see him, but he made me smile.

TAPS

Here it's rainin', like almost everywhere, and chilly agin too, after a couple of days' swelter! But I LOVE Son #1's ditty! Just be daring - do ask him for more...

Clever fellow!

And I wish I could hear what you hear--I love the loons gentle, haunting sound... and the rest, too, but I don't hear the woodpeckers here, only that dratted flicker trying to pound his way into my closet!
