well I don't know the whole situation but if the mother is considering or chosen a move it is usually because it is best for the family....closer to a job or where she can find work or rent, mortgage more affordable

We, too, always had family meetings/discussions. But wait, the mother isn't listening to her children? !!! Unless she's elderly, or incapacitated in some way, I thought the children listened to their mother/father/parent(s). When the kids start giving the orders... Everyone's opinion and voice should be heard, but final decision-making should rest with the adult, if they aren't all already adults. Perhaps I don't know enough about the situation. :) I wish them the best.
