Oh! Dear Taps ,What if we are totally different to what we seem. Some seem like Angels and no doubt they are. One thing anyone misbehaving soon gets a short shift from the
pantisocratict members.

I wish I could just let it go and not keep arguing.
I know by now most of us have our minds made up on any particular issue, and no amount of rhetoric will change that. But somehow the talking points come flying out and demand to be heard, even if the argument is shot down by opposite logic. We'd all be bored if nobody ever disagreed.

Dialogue, and not an argument, is the best course open where reason, patience, trying to see the others' PoV, are all given a going shot. Inelastic, unmalleable, recalcitrants and parochial people, I avoid. They can only be pure nuisance, but never constructive. That's my take. A good article that gives rise to many thoughts. In my writings though it is more a generalized kind than personal. Some, however, seem to know me as a person not opinonated.

All of you know me. I have been here for years and years. If I feel or know something is wrong, right or dangerous I will stand for or against it 'till death. I will just pass it unless it becomes a problem. ie your religion is your business but when you try to tell me you know for sure there is no God/Jesus. You are possibly going to effect others mind about such and I shall do my best to change your mind or accept that is your idea not what you insist is right for all.

Quite! That's why I am not really interested in opinions - not even my own, LOL (yes, I do have a few) - but only in facts. And I'm quite willing to accept that I'm wrong if it's shown to me (intead of simply being told). I hasn't happened very often, certainly not here in Blogitville...

lovely post dear Taps. I so agree with you and occassionally I get into a silly argument on Fb and then wonder why. It is senseless. but blogit is family and we are all allowed to think and have our opinions here or just keep them to ourselves at times.

Ditto, dear TAPS! Great post. I like "just you." I think everyone does. I come from a highly opinionated family, many of whom are quite verbal regarding their positions on any given topic. Personally, I respect everyone's right to their own opinions, and leave it at that. Blogit is like that, I think.
