Oh, I would definitely open that Toolbox! And as far as getting rid of books is concerned - it's something I have never been able to do, with telling results...

go ahead and procrastinate...my way of down sizing these days is to have a cardboard box and when something in the cupboard shrinks, fades to unwearable, or developes too many holes, in the box it goes from being washed. Same in the kitchen, if I find something in a cupboard that I never use, into the box and books well that is a tough one but occassionally one or two end up in the box. That way I get rid of a bit all year round without actually getting into it!
