- Go to To knot or not to knot...
I have no patience with knots. I have on a long colorful skirt that I bought in the Bahamas. I don't wear it often, but yesterday and today have been very warm and I enjoyed wearing it. But...it has a drawstring waist. I remember that the last time I wore it, it got into a knot and I struggled for a long time trying to get the thing off. I'm already planning that if that happens this time, I'm going to cut the string, pull it out, wash it and turn it into a brightly-colored tablecloth. LOL

I put yarn in a ball for my daughter once and haven't thought about it since! I did not enjoy the experience! sam

I've balled up some yarn in my time - most recently when I gave in
to the need to crochet. It's not the finished product I'm after, but the soothing repetition of hooking and counting while irritants from the TV float past my ears. As for solving the knotty problems, just learning to follow the yarn, using patience instead of force is a skill not everyone can learn.

We must be patient to achieve our goals, in spite of obstacles. It's simplistic, yet in reality, complex, as with a fine yarn.

You sent me back to my childhood when Mother would get me to hold out my arms and she would place the yarn to be rolled and I would stand there while she worked. That quickly taught me to stand still to concentrate and be helpful to Mother or I would not enjoy the consequences. in those days a slap on the leg.
