Great post! BTW, I also was irked to the gills when anyone, especially guys, would say to me, "Smile." They had no idea about anything that was going on in my head. Just reading what you wrote brought it all back to me.

these last words of yours really says a great deal.
I have always 'got under a lot of mens skin' because I am opinionated and outspoken and have huge trouble with believing a dangly bit of anatomy makes any man superior to me.

Someone on Facebook called ultra-conservative Christians the American Taliban, and it must be said that where woman's equal humanity is concerned, the two big fundamentalist
sects are all too similar IMHO.
