Funny - I too have been going through files (paper files) and have been shredding things that once were 'promising', 'good ideas' and 'things worth pursuing and writing more about' - that kind of stuff. No 'novels' though LOL... And as far as house prices are concerned - in this neck of the woods (GTA) they have risen by about 20 per cent over last year...

This post made me think of something I saw on Facebook a couple of days ago--
"If you have to buy stuff
to organize your stuff,
you probably have too much stuff."

Spring fever. It is a most dangerous disease but I know how I am struggling in the garden this year so far and maybe it would be time to down size. Maybe you need a date or two. Maybe you need to fly to Ottawa and we pick you up and bring you here. xx

Yes remember Pat the problem when buying that will have moved up in price unless you know a out the way place undisturbed by time. Most of those places here have been taken by affluent week-end cottage seekers. Although of course it is the shortage of land that really holds the price. Sadly nowhere is perfect, I once looked out on green fields but now keep the curtains drawn although there are still two walnut trees that I rely on to tell the weather.

Practically thinking...
Besides the joy of the open road, there are things like regularly visiting a dumping station to empty the sewage tank, there is refilling the water tank, there is finding places to plug in, or using a lot of battery to have lights at night and run a fridge...I never was comfortable with using the propane heat, cooking, or power generally. I got about 10-13 miles to the gallon.
My next travel vehicle will be an easier-to-drive van, with sleeping accomodation, better gas mileage, and possible a camp toilet for emergency situations where there is no public facility and the need is great.
If you do go for this dream, you and your home-on-wheels will always have a parking place at my house!
