I call it the Kabu-Wiley effect. It seems like when those two are not here, comments and entries slow to a crawl.
I think what is also exacerbating things is that Sam has not posted in a while nor has CC. When those two are around, I can count on there being at least two comments.
BigV has not posted for a bit either. While he does not comment, one knows that there are going to be at least a few more entries.

I check what my position at the popularity rank is. But it doesn't mean as much to me, as to know I have friends here; people who seem to care about what I write.
Well, of course I can follow you on your point of being missed while away from here.
But let me tell you what (at least some people here) weekend like when I came back, while my "real" surroundings didn't even seem to care if I was there or not. They made me feel I'd been missed.
And I am not a she or number 1 in a blog rank.

What is important to me is the being able to read as many of you as I can nearly every day, commenting or not, just to see what's happening in your lives, what you are up to, how you feel today. Seeing how often I am able to blog makes it obvious that the financial thingie isn't happening, LOL! PS - Kindness counts.

There are many who have left - and some of those I miss! But I haven't noticed any recent 'absence', so I obviously don't know the lady. And if the number of readers is the yardstick of a Blogit member's importance around here, my own is minuscule - probably because of my lack of kindness, LOL...

Very interesting, Taps. Don't know that it's a "who" that's most
important to me here on Blogit as much as the "what." I think the main reason I keep visiting and writing is the feedback - the thought that others put into comments - both on my posts and on others. Inspirational!

You have articulated so well what was stirring in my mind. I never did the math, but it's very interesting to read. I try to be kind and comment, not for a numbers game, but out of a sense of fairness and interest. Like you said, we are all equal. But yes, some are missed. Great writing, and thank you for this post.
