The museum is fantastic, a work of art in itself! The Night Watch is big; in size, scope and message(s), and a wonder to see, I'll bet! The ship model is all that you say! Your post was really enjoyable to read.

Thank you for your great description of that museum. I love ships and
models, and would no doubt stand there till a foot went to sleep, just taking it in. And the paintings -- sigh.

you say you prefer to read other people's writing, yet you write so well I felt that I was part of your day. Could feel your fatigue. I wasn't surprised at the election results. When the World is in an unsettled mood, people tend to feel safer with what they know.

I looked up a photo of the ship... love it. I would love to be on one of those at it's real size. I always feel most at home by the sea. Sounds like a great trip so far!
