My aunt doesn't have a computer so she shops QVC on the telelvison. She LOVES it! As for me, I love shopping on Amazon and Ebay!

Good question Taps. I read that many malls are closing as the
big signature stores go out of business, unable to compete with the online sellers. My son tells me some malls are being converted to senior housing complexes, attractive because they can put in coffee shops and all-weather indoor walking areas, etc., so we won't have to just throw away our old buggy whips.

I think people will always need to see merchandise, at least for some things.

I don't love Amazon much but I shop here in Canada online at the Bay. Can't afford shops in the USA...border taxes ruin the shop. I can buy from The Bay( Hudson Bay )and have free delivery.

The free shipping (both ways) is helpful but if I find that if I'm shopping online, I usually have to know exactly what I want. I miss being able to browse and find things. But it's also cheaper and easier to find the best price online.
Very soon, if not already, being without the internet will be the same as not having a phone or electricity. It's already being classified as a utility...

I also find online shopping wonderfully convenient, but it is indeed a community issue, when lack of support drives little unique businesses with actual human touches like conversation, out of business out of community, out of experience.
