We've learned not to worry about a lot of things we used to.
We have learned to value more sustainable things, to let go of those that turned out not sustainable. Our expectations have become more realistic, and we, more accepting of reality.
That baseline is normally low for some of us, mild depression the 'normal' state. Illness, disappointment, anxieties can make it dip. Sad, maybe, that less and less brings the line higher.

I am certainly a happy old Fart. We are a pair of hemits basically...means you can fart whenever you want.
